A year after "Hot This Year" was released, Dirtsman's dancehall ascendance was cut short when he was robbed and killed in Spanish Town. A trend that happened all too often on the Kingston scene of the '80s and '90s.
Alongside the Tuff Gong reissue of "Hot This Year" come some hot contributions from Buju, Chaka, and Pinchers. Buju and Chaka kill it; Pinchers is for the lovers.
